Many who come to live at Sevenoaks Place and Lambarde Cottages choose to join in a variety of social activities. There is a weekly coffee morning, a lunch gathering once a month and an annual outing. We are proud of our strong sense of community and tradition of residents supporting each other.
The Burlington Room at Sevenoaks Place is available to all residents of both sets of properties. A large bright room, it is equipped with tables, chairs, armchairs, books and games, and there is also a small kitchen. The room is also available for private functions with their families or friends. During the summer months, residents also socialise in the gardens of Sevenoaks Place.
The Trustees organise an annual outing and a social evening with the residents. Recent excursions include a day trip to Ypres and the First World War battlefields; Buckingham Palace; the London Eye; a day in Brighton and a day in France.
An informal BBQ is held for Trustees and residents in the garden of Sevenoaks Place each summer.
While there is no obligation to join in with any group activities, all such occasions are open to everyone living in Sevenoaks Place and Lambarde Cottages.
