We have two types of properties available: Sevenoaks Place, self-contained flats in buildings located in the upper High Street of Sevenoaks, and Lambarde Cottages, nineteenth-century single-storey terraced cottages in the village of Weald.
Sevenoaks Place and Lambarde Cottages are part of the Sevenoaks Almshouse Charity which has been in existence for almost 600 years. It is administered by a group of Trustees and a part-time Clerk who deals with day-to-day management.
The aim of the charity is to provide affordable housing for retirement age people with limited means. Applicants must have lived in the Sevenoaks district or have a connection with this area. They must also be capable of living independently but within a friendly and supportive community. We are not a care or residential home and do not have a Warden. All of the properties are non-smoking with no pets allowed. We warmly welcome enquiries from anyone who fits the above criteria and is interested in applying.
